Calculate Holdtime

What is "holdtime"? Your holdtime is, simply the average amount of time you are keeping callers on the line. The higher your holdtime, the more minutes you will have and the more you will be paid for those minutes (based on your overall holdtime for the two-week pay period).

To calculate your holdtime, simply divide the number of minutes you have totalled up and divide that number by the number of calls it took to get those minutes.

total minutes ÷ total number of calls = average hold time

or...

1000 minutes ÷ 100 calls = 10.0 average hold time

To help you keep track: A form has been provided to help you keep track of your calls, minutes and holdtime. Please note that you are not required to keep track of calls and minutes, but if you choose to do so, this form is for your convenience. If you would like to print and use this form, click here.

Calls under 60 seconds in length: These calls do not count against your holdtime, and you're not paid for them, so do not add them into your minute or call totals.

Checking your stats: You can check your stats online at www.icminutes.com. If you haven't received your passcode yet, just ask! More information about checking your stats and how to use the IC Reporting System can be found here.
